I read this news in THE SUNDAY HERALD'S. It reminded me of the novel I read sometime last year titled MY SISTER'S KEEPER.I pity that little boy.He is still so young. What if he falls ill instead?
Have a closer look at the boy. I guess he is still smiling because he doesn't know what he has to endure in the next few years just to help ensure his younger brother will remain alive. My goodness....I just cannot understand why this must happen. Hurting another soul in the process of helping another soul? Can someone please explain to me the rationale of all these?
When I read the novel, I cried. I literally felt for the younger sister in that story. Now, I am literally crying for the young boy, that elder brother of his.
For those of you who have not read the novel I'm talking about, please read it. Watching the movie is not the same. Reading it is better.
It's written by one of my favourite authors~ JODI PICOULT.
