:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::
~PATIENCE IS VITAL~
There is going to be another celebration coming in a few days time. IDUL ADHA. What am I planning to bake this time? ORANGE STAR COOKIES. I hope that I'll be well enough to bake some for Hari Raya, InsyaALLAH. It is very easy. You may have a try!
Here is the recipe~
ORANGE STAR COOKIES
250 gm butter
150 gm icing sugar
1 Tablespoon Orange Juice
1 Tablespoon Orange Paste
1 teaspoon Orange Flavouring
400 gm All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
60 gm ground almond
For the decoration:
1 egg yolk
Some red cherries
Method:
1) Cream butter and icing sugar on high speed until fluffy and whitish.
2) Then, add in the orange juice, orange paste and orange flavouring bit by bit.
3) Lastly, add in the sifted all-purpose flour with sodium bicarbonate and the ground almond.
4) Mix well.
5) Keep the dough in the frige for about 10-15 minutes before rolling it in between plastic sheets to 4mm thickness. Cut out the cookies in the shape of stars.
6) Bake them in a preheated oven at 180C for 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown.
It depends on your oven, okay? Mine is the cheapest version *naughty winks* What do you expect of a student like me? I have to spend on so many things on one day and that's excluding the tuition fees *ahaks*
This particular entry was drafted on 20th October 2011 because I was expecting that I am not going to be that free to update my dearest blog on daily basis. Have a great day baking, mates!
