RISK BEING WHO YOU ARE

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

:::~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive~ the risk to be alive and express what we really are.
~Don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements

Honestly, I couldn't agree more.

It is NEW YEAR EVE TODAY :) I am home :) It is quite cold now. Like I've told you that I have been ill for the past one and a half month. And after being a little better for a few days, I had fallen sick again, felled by a bad bout of flu and I had spent over 3 weeks feeling oh-so-weak and helpless. I later developed Acute Sinusitus and Wheezing Bronchitis. That's bad, huh.

Syahrul came over yesterday with my order of Curry Puffs :) Thank you, Syahrul. I love them :)

Razi had nursed me through it, done his best he could to make me better. But I had been a very bad patient. Anyway, I am going to have fun today. Perhaps I ought to take a walk later to DOCKLANDS. Maybe, there'll be some fireworks there.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :)

Profiteroles, Eclairs and Cream Buns/Puffs are made from Choux Paste. The ingredients are:-

Choux Paste

625g Water
3g Salt
3g Sugar
250g Butter
300g Strong Flour
10 nos. Eggs

Method:-

1. In a heavy saucepan, combine water, butter, salt and sugar and heat until butter melts.
2. Add flour and stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture leaves the side of the pan (meaning the mixtue no longer sticks to sides of the pan when being stirred).
3. Take off heat and let cool.
4. Add eggs one by one, stirring vigorously with a wooden spoon to mix well after each addition.

Note: Mixing by hand is tiring if you're not used to it. So, step no. 4 may be done in a mixer using the paddle attachement on low speed.

Eclairs

1. Transfer mixture to a piping bag with a 1cm plain nozzle
2. Pipe straight lines of 8cm in length onto a lined/lightly greased baking tray
3. Bake at 200C for about 18 mins.
4. Allow to cool. Slit down one side with a sharp knife and pipe in creme patissiere (recipe given below)
5. Melt about 25g of chocolate coverture on a double boiler.
6. Glaze the eclairs by dipping the top surface with the melted chocolate and allow to set.
7. Dust with icing sugar for effect.

Profiteroles/Cream Buns (Puffs)

1. Transfer choux paste into piping bag with 1cm nozzle.
2. Pipe into walnut size for cream buns or half that size for profiteroles.
3. Bake at 200C for 18 mins.
4. Allow to cool.
5. Make a small slit on the side and pipe in the creme patissiere.
6. Dip in chocolate like the eclairs of simply dust the top with icing sugar.

Creme Patissiere (Pastry Cream)
2 nos Eggs (medium)
100g Caster Sugar
50g Flour
10g Custard powder
500ml Milk
1 no. Vanilla pod or 3 drops essence

Method:-

1. Whisk the eggs and sugar in a bowl until almost white.
2. Heat milk and vanilla in a saucepan (do not boil).
3. Add flour to the eggs and mix well.
4. Once milk is heated, pour some into the eggs and stir with a wooden spoon to mix. Do not pour all at once as the eggs will cook.
5. Continue pouring a little of the milk at a time while stirring, till about half the milk is used.
6. Then, pour the egg/milk mixture back into the saucepan containing remaining milk and stir well to mix on low heat, stirring until the mixture thickens.
7. Remove from heat and transfer mixture to a pan to cool. Cover with clingfilm, pressing down so that the film touches the surface of the mixture to prevent skin forming.

Note: To make Chocolate Pastry Cream, melt 100g of chocolate coverture or 50g of cocoa powder in the milk and proceed as above.

Happy trying!!!

MAGGI MEE

When I was at The Footscray Market, I saw many Oriental Shops selling food from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Among others they sell MAGGI MEE. Almost everyone in Singapore and Malaysia knows MAGGI MEE. And here's what I cooked for myself. MAGGI MEE KARI (Curry Maggi Mee). For those of you who doesn't like the curry taste, you can try the chicken flavour. It's nice, too. How to cook it? Simple~ Saute some onions and garlic with a little bit of vegetable oil, then, pour in the curry and add some water. Mix well. Then, add in the noodle. Let it boil. And if you prefer to add in an egg, you may add one now. Lastly, add in some vegetables of your choice. Give it about 5 minutes while you keep on stirring to mix them well. And it is ready to serve. ENJOY!

PRACTISE VOLUNTARY SIMPLICITY :)

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I read this earlier today~

At the heart of a simple life is an emphasis on harmonious and purposeful living.
[Duane Elgin, author of Voluntary Simplicity]

Life in modern cities can feel overwhelmingly complicated and stressful. A simpler life sounds good, right?

Let's ask ourselves this question~
ARE YOU LIVING YOUR LIFE IN ALIGNMENT WITH YOUR DEEPEST VALUES? What are your deepest values?

Why don't we start by enjoying a simple walk in the park every evening, enjoying the beautiful sceneries, saying thanks to the Al-Mighty for the clean air that we breathe everyday, for the joy of being able to stay happy, eat good food, be with our loved ones and all the sweet things that surround us all these years? Let's do that.

I am going to spend some time walking at St. Kilda, Prahran [Oh, I love Prahran so much] and Claytan [this is one place that feels like home]. I pray may I'll have enough money to buy a house in Claytan very soon. I just love being in Claytan area. It is gorgeous!

Take care, Mates!

GET STARTED!

FIRST THING FIRST, ADEN!

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

Alright, it is the 27th December 2011. Yesterday, I have typed out 5 pages of my 2nd manuscript. I am going to continue doing the same thing every single day. I must at least complete 5 pages a day. And at the end of the day, I will have my 2nd manuscript ready to be forwarded to the editor for editing.

I read this and am applying it. Have a read.

THE SECRET OF GETTING AHEAD IS GETTING STARTED. THE SECRET OF GETTING STARTED IS BREAKING YOUR COMPLEX, OVERWHELMING TASKS INTO SMALL MANAGEABLE TASKS, AND THEN STARTING ON THE FIRST ONE.
~ MARK TWAIN

So, in short, whatever your aim is, no matter what your dream is, you must always start by doing something. You cannot just sit there doing nothing, waiting endlessly, hoping endlessly. DO IT NOW!

If I can stay motivated even when I am in so much pain right this moment, YOU CAN TOO! YOU MUST ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE & MOTIVATED! Have a great holiday, Mates!

SPEND LESS!

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

You may find that you can come up with wonderful creative ways to trim your spending so that you hardly notice.
[Suze Orman, author of the 9 Steps to Financial Freedom]

I am planning to build a kitchen cabinet at my home, change the wooden windows and get the sliding glass windows instead. I prefer glass windows as they are easier to clean.

I don't intend to renovate my home as for now. I need to keep whatever savings I have for my health purposes. It is really trying now. I am talking about my health. So, whatever stuffs that are still in my bathroom that are looking old, need some good scrubbing and cleaning. You know what? I am going to practise recycling. Clean it up nicely, fix it and use it until it breaks! There are so many starving people out there. Be thankful that we have enough food to eat , nice home as shelter and good toilet to use. What more can you ask for? What's the point of having a nice looking home but zero in your bank account? And when you are ill, you will have to scratch your head searching for money to pay your medical bills? Think about that.

Eversince I've been ill since one and a half months ago, I think differently. I am going to cut down on my spendings. I am starting to track my expenses. I am learning to lead a simpler and more spiritual life.

Almost No-Bake Berry Tart

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I received this recipe in my email this morning. I believe that it is worth trying. Have a look :) Merry Xmas & Happy Holidays, Mates!

This berry tart is so good you’ll forget it’s healthy. And, it requires minimal baking. It can be made in under half an hour (plus time to refrigerate), making it perfect for the busy holiday season.

BERRY TART

Crust

1 cup rolled oats
½ cup almonds
1 cup spelt or kamut flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of Celtic sea salt (this is a better option than iodized or traditional sea salt since it contains dozens of minerals, not just sodium)
1/3 cup olive oil
2 Tbsps. maple syrup

In a food processor, grind oats, almonds, salt and cinnamon. Mix with the flour. Finally, add the oil and maple syrup and mix to form a soft dough. Press into an oiled and floured 10-inch pie plate and flute the edges if desired. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until golden-coloured. Allow to cool while preparing filling.

Filling

4 cups fresh or frozen mixed berries of your choice
¼ cup agar flakes (a form of tasteless seaweed that is packed with nutrients and serves as a thickener, available in most health food stores)
2 cups of unsweetened raspberry, strawberry, mixed berry or apple juice
1/3 cup arrowroot
¼ cup maple syrup

Mix agar flakes and juice together in a pot and bring to a rolling boil, uncovered for 2-3 minutes after it starts boiling. In a small bowl, whisk together the arrowroot and maple syrup. Add to the juice mixture and whisk constantly, until thickened. Mix berries into the mixture and pour immediately into the pie crust. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set.

MERRY CHRISTMAS MATES!

These are the cookies and hampers I made and sold for Christmas.

The hampers sold very well. Alhamdulillah, Like I've told you before, this is my first time doing all these. First time in my life. And if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT, TOO! To all students out there, have courage to try new things. Who says that you cannot make more pocket money whilst studying? YOU CAN. I CAN and that means ALL OF US CAN.

Always remember that our brain is designed to solve any problem and reach any goal that we give and want to achieve. The words we think and say actually affect our mind and body. So, always say POSITIVE WORDS. BELIEVE IN OURSELVES. Stay true to yourself.

VEGETABLE LASAGNA

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

Photobucket

Looks yummy? Would you like to try making them yourself? Here's something special for your Christmas Celebration *smiles*

Ingredients:-

10 nos Lasagna sheets
125ml Sunflower oil
100g Onions, finely shopped
10g Garlic cloves, chopped
200g Mushrooms, de-stemmed and sliced
200g Zucchini, diced
3g Oregano
1 Canned whole tomatoes
50g Tomato puree
300g Broccoli, cut small florets
100g Carrots, diced
250ml Béchamel sauce
50g Parmesan cheese, grated
250ml Natural yogurt

Method:-

1. Cook lasagna sheets in salted boiling water until al dente.
2. Heat half the oil and sweat onion and garlic. Take care not to brown.
3. Add mushrooms and continue to cook. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Heat remaining oil and add zucchini and lightly fry.
5. Sprinkle with oregano, cook until crisp, add canned tomatoes and tomato puree.
6. Add broccoli florets and carrots (previously blanched and refreshed)
7. Make a cheese sauce using the béchamel and half the grated cheese. Finish with the yogurt.
8. Grease an ovenproof dish well with the oil and place a layer of lasagna at the bottom.
9. Cover with a layer of mushrooms, then a layer of lasagna, then broccoli and tomato mixture, then lasagna, then cheese sauce.
10. Repeat and finish with a layer of cheese sauce on top.
11. Sprinkle with remaining grated parmesan cheese and bake at 180C for 20-25 mins

Recipe for Béchamel Sauce:-

1 ltr Milk
50g Butter
50g Flour
1 no. whole onion (small)
1 no. Bay leaf
7 nos. Cloves
pinch Nutmeg powder

Method:-

1. Peel onion and stick the cloves all over the onion. Slice/score onion on the root side and slide the bay leaf in.
2. Heat milk in a saucepan, add the onion and nutmeg powder into the milk.
3. While milk is heating, melt butter in another pan. Once melted, reduce heat to low, add flour and mix well until a thick paste forms. This paste is called a 'roux'.
4. Take care to cook roux for only a few minutes, as the roux should still maintain a whitish colour.
5. Add the roux to the milk while whisking vigorously to mix well.
6. Once mixed, take off heat, remove the onion and strain the sauce.

Of course lasagna sheets can be bought in stores but nothing beats the joy of making your own. The recipe for pasta dough to make lasagna sheets is:-

200g Flour
1 no. Egg
50ml Water
pinch Salt
5ml Olive oil

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
2. Make a well in the middle of the flour. Add egg and water and mix to form a dough. Add olive oil in the middle of the process to make a smoother dough.
3. Cover bowl with damp cloth and rest in the fridge for 30 mins.
4. If you have a pasta machine, roll out long sheets from the thickest setting to the next to thinnest setting. Cut sheets into suitable size for lasagna (taking into account the type of dish or pan you're using to bake in).
5. If not, do it the old-fashioned way using a rolling pin.

A pretty detailed guide to making a good pasta dough by hand is as follows:-

Mixing the dough:
Mound the flour in the center of your work surface and make a well in the middle. Add the eggs and water. Use a wooden spoon to beat together the liquids. Then gradually start incorporating shallow scrapings of flour from the sides of the well into the liquid. As you work more and more flour into the liquid, the well’s sides may collapse. Use a pastry scraper to keep the liquids from running off and to incorporate the last bits of flour into the dough. Don’t worry if it looks like a hopelessly rough and messy lump.

Kneading:
With the aid of the scraper to scoop up unruly pieces, start kneading the dough. Once it becomes a cohesive mass, use the scraper to remove any bits of hard flour on the work surface – these will make the dough lumpy. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes. Its consistency should be elastic and a little sticky. If it is too sticky to move easily, knead in a few more tablespoons of flour. Continue kneading about 10 minutes, or until the dough has become satiny, smooth, and very elastic. It will feel alive under your hands. Do not shortcut this step. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, and let it relax at room temperature 30 minutes to 3 hours (or chill it in the fridge as per the recipe above).

Stretching and Thinning:
If using an extra-long rolling pin work with half the dough at a time. With a regular-length rolling pin, roll out a quarter of the dough at a time and keep the rest of the dough wrapped. Lightly sprinkle a large work surface with flour. The idea is to stretch the dough rather than press down and push it. Shape it into a ball and begin rolling out to form a circle, frequently turning the disc of dough a quarter turn. As it thins outs, start rolling the disc back on the pin a quarter of the way toward the center and stretching it gently sideways by running the palms of your hands over the rolled-up dough from the center of the pin outward. Unroll, turn the disc a quarter turn, and repeat. Do twice more.

Stretch and even out the center of the disc by rolling the dough a quarter of the way back on the pin. Then gently push the rolling pin away from you with one hand while holding the sheet in place on the work surface with the other hand. Repeat three more times, turning the dough a quarter turn each time.

Repeat the two processes as the disc becomes larger and thinner. The goal is a sheet of even thickness. For lasagne, the sheet should be so thin that you can clearly see your hand through it and see colours. Cut into rectangles about 4 by 8 inches (10 x 20 cm).

Lightly flour a pan and lay the sheets down to air and set aside until use.

(Courtesy of "The District Domestic")

Note:

1. If you're using freshly made lasagne sheets, you do not have to boil them first. So omit step no. 1 of the lasagne recipe above.

2. Although this recipe is for a vegetarian lasagna, you may use chicken or beef to make a bolognese sauce. Just substitute the vegetables with 500g of minced meat. Brown the meat in olive oil before adding the tomatoes and herbs.

Enjoy!!!

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

BELIEVING IN YOURSELF IS AN ATTITUDE :)

I have been reading a lot of motivation books lately. You know what? I realise that IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US NOT TO WASTE YEARS OF OUR LIFE. How old are you now? How many years have you wasted doing nothing and believing that you are incapable of achieving success? Think about it.

From today onwards, I am telling myself and will always remind myself that I AM CAPABLE OF DOING ANYTHING I WANT AND I AM STARTING TO WORK TOWARD IT NOW.

So, you too...all my humble blog readers sent by God The-Almighty should try to do the same. It is at the end of the day for our own good. LET'S DO IT! STAY POSITIVE! Do something positive everyday. Shall we?

I am ill :(

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

God is testing me again. I am ill :( I have been ill for more than a month. For the past two (2) weeks, I have developed Acute Sinusitus with Wheezing Bronchitis. And I have been having fever for the past five (5) days on treatment. I have been advised not to travel and postpone all flights till I am medically fit to fly/travel overseas.

Oh boy! It is December and I have to stay home??? How do you think I am feeling inside right this minute? How did I cope with all these tests? Well, just in case there are any of you beautiful silent readers of mine who are also not feeling well, let's do what I have been doing for the past 1 month.

Close your eyes. But before that, put on some relaxing music. I chose NO BOUNDARIES by Adam Lambert ;) Can we consider that relaxing? *ahaks* Try to visualize defeating all the pains and sufferings. Of course you still need to consume your medicines and complete your antibiotics course but I still believe in our inner power to fight all these. Believing in one's inner power will create strength from within. Always imagine that the pain is your opponent and YOU CAN DEFEAT YOUR OPPONENT IN THE VERY FIRST ROUND. As they get stronger, you'll grow stronger, too. DON'T EVER QUIT BELIEVING.

And once you have recover, get the next flight out and JUMP FOR JOY! Yippee!!!

N/B~ I have not been baking and cooking lately. I am advised not to bake anything when I am still unwell. But when I am back in the kitchen, I'll surely share my new tested recipes with all of you, okay? Take care and let's STAY POSITIVE ALWAYS! *BIG HUGS MATES*

I miss travelling...

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I MISS TRAVELLING TO NICE BEAUTIFUL PLACES. You know one good thing about being single? You can go anywhere you like, anywhere at all, at anytime as long as you have some money with you and of course great health. I LOVE TO TRAVEL because whenever I travel, especially when it's a long break like a month of travelling, I literally would feel as if I have the opportunity to rewrite my life by just getting on a plane. I miss SPAIN! I went there last year in November-December 2010. It's a beautiful place. I love BARCELONA and GRANADA. Beautiful. If you've never been there, you should go there and have a good experience of your life. In Barcelona, I like LA RAMBLA. I love arts. That's one of the places to visit for all art lovers. Streets drawings, caricatures etc. I love everything in Barcelona. Travel strikes me sometimes as an almost suspiciously easy bargain. A NEW LIFE IN EXCHANGE FOR A CASH. Sometimes too much stress at work is the antidote to misery. WE ARE ALL HUMAN. We have souls. We have to rest and slow down before we crash. I have a friend who loves his work so much that he's always online via his Blackberry and now via his I-Phone4. He worked eventhough he's away internationally, keeping in touch with his employees and workmates even when he is supposed to be having a holiday! That's how much he loves his work. Maybe he's an idiot in my eyes, but this scenario had never occured to him. Once I suggested to him that we should go to London for a holiday and he said to wait for a while whilst he asked his office if he can work whilst travel at the same time. That's what put the full-stop to my suggestions. I didn't pursue further. If you want to let your soul rest, leave everything behind. YOUR SOUL NEEDS SOME RESPECT FOR GOODNESS SAKE! I can't persuade that friend of mine anymore. In cases like him, we've got to wait until he suffers from sickness like stroke maybe and let's see wheter his office friends and employers and/or clients would be ever willing to leave their work and family to care for this poor fellow employee/ employer of theirs. Like I always said harshly in Bahasa Melayu, "ADA MANA-MANA PEREMPUAN ATAU KAWAN-KAWAN YOU TU YANG AKAN DATANG MANDIKAN DAN CEBOK YOU BILA YOU DAH TAK BOLEH BERGERAK?" Most of the time, I had to FORCE him to take a break and go for a holiday with me. One day, he will thank me for scolding him. *naughty winks*

So people, think again before you decide to put your heart and soul for your life at work. You may be rich in terms of money but you'll be soully pathetic! If you are tired of your boring routine and need a good break, GO TRAVEL!

DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT :)

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

Mild snow is starting in some countries. I am sure it is going to be a great time to cuddle up with your loved ones. And Xmas is just around the corner, too. What does that mean? It means New Year is only a few weeks away.

For the past few years, I have been like others, make new resolutions and most of the time, I would only remember it for the first half of the year. After that, I would just dump them into the WHAT TO ACHIEVE LIST. So, the resolutions will be piled up and the dreams will be put on hold endlessly.

But since the last two years, I have been more determined in achieving my dreams. Among others, I learnt how to bake my own cakes, I went to baking courses, I attended cooking classes to improve my cooking, bought more recipe books and cooked at least a recipe a week. I wrote my first manuscript and got it edited. I learnt to move forward. I learnt to define my visions and my dream goals in life.

I love to read motivational books since young but I have never ever followed the advice in the books seriously until 2 years ago. And guess what? So far, it works well for me. I hope whomsoever that God sends to this humble blog of mine will be positive, too. DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER. DO IT NOW!

First of all, DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT, Ask yourself what you wish to accomplish in life. You must face your fears and be brave to confront your own fears. Imagine this is your last day, what would you like to do? If the job you are doing now is not what you love doing, LEAVE IT AND DO WHAT YOU LOVE. Feeling afraid that you might not excel in your new vision? Stop imagining the worst. Always imagine the good things and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Have faith in GOD.

This is a fact. A few months ago, this girl who has never baked in her entire life spent about AUD 1000 as capital and, at the end of the day, I made AUD 3000. That's only one of the many experiences I encountered that proved to me THE POWER OF BELIEVING IN ONESELF. In other words, you must be willing to try to do new things. DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY IT OUT. You will never know what is in store for you. Only THE ALMIGHTY knows what he has alloted for you and everyone in this world. So, TRUST HIM COMPLETELY. HE DIDN'T BRING YOU HERE TO TORTURE YOU.

So Mate, what does success look like to you?

BREAKING DAWN :)

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

It's a great day today :) STAY POSITIVE MATES! Always BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

Wanna know what I did yesterday? I watched BREAKING DAWN :) I just love watching the entire story, no matter what negative comments I read in my friends' FB. To me, it is GREAT!

And to people who only know how to make snide comments, why don't you guys stop complaining and start directing your own movie? Prove to the world that you can be a better director. And that you can make more money that BREAKING DAWN! See...prove yourself. Don't just sit there complaining. To me, it is better to prove your quality than talk rots. If you believe that you are better than others, do something. Show to the world the positive difference you can make.

The quality of your actions, depends on your motivation.

AZ-ZALZALAH

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I read this Surah earlier today. It made me feel so calm inside.

SURAH AZ-ZALZALAH

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST BENEFICIENT. THE MOST MERCIFUL

1. When the earth is shaken with its final earthquake.
2. And when the earth throws out its burdens.
3. And man will say: "What is the matter with it?"
4. That Day it will declare its information about all that happened over it of good or of evil.
5. Because your Lord has inspired it.
6. That day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds.
7. So Whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it.
8. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant, shall see it.

I am calm because I know that that mean idiot who did all these sihir [black magic stuffs] on me will eventually get her share of 'nice' treatment from the Al-Mighty. I hope that she will be glad to feel the fierce earthquake because all these while she believes that she can act God, to decide how much pain she should inflict on me on daily basis. Honestly, I am shattered inside because of all her doings for the past 12 years. Not 12 days, not 12 weeks but 12 years of sufferings in pain and in silence as most people around me, including my own parents and family refused to believe that I am the victim of Sihir. That is sad enough to have such people with such mentality as families. Seriously hurtful. Don't they know that Rasulullah s.a.w. was once a victim of sorcery, too?

THE POWER OF GIVING :)

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

‎10 minutes ago, I received a very beautiful bouquet of yellow roses and sunflowers. But I don't know who sent them. The card only said this~ My beloved sister, Thank you for everything. Your smile shines brighter than the sun. The problem is I have so many people calling me MY BELOVED SISTER :) So, I am unable to guess who the sender is. Whoever it is who sent the beautiful bouquet to me, please call me or message me, yeah? You must know that you have made me smile from my heart and I am really touched by your kindness. May God bless you and take great care of you, Amen. May HE showers you with happiness just like the way you shared your thoughtfulness and love with me.

Dear God, someone sent a beautiful bouquet to me today. That person is surely one of those special people who has made a major difference to my life today. That person has taught me the meaning of THE POWER OF GIVING FROM THE HEART. That person's gesture has truly touched my heart. Please take great care of him/her. Ameen...

HEAL THROUGH PRAYER

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I've been reading a lot of Quran verses whenever I have the time everyday. I trust in prayers. And I want to heal myself through prayers. InsyaALLAH, it will work. I believe that prayers can affect healing in positive ways. I am asking help from GOD because I trust that EVERYTHING IS IN HIS HANDS.

I must get well as soon as possible. I want to feel good again. And if I want to travel, I must be healthy. As long as I am unhealthy, I don't think it is a good idea to go anywhere. So, can all of you please pray for me, too? Thankyou very much.

TAHU UDANG PETAI

I love this dish. I have this twice in a month in October. Can you believe that? I am not really feeling well right now after the operation and I have been wanting to eat PETAI [stink beans ] so much. And I don't know how else to cook stink beans except by frying it this way.

I found stink beans sold in tins at an oriental shop in Glenn Waverly.
Take a train to Glenn Waverley and walk towards Gloria Jeans (GJ). The oriental shop is a few blocks a way from GJ.

Okay, here's the recipe. Have a try if you love spicy food. And don't worry, the stink beans are literally stinky but they are great for your health. They have loads of medicinal values.

~TAHU UDANG PETAI~

Ingredients:
2pcs tofu
20pcs petai [stink beans]
250g fresh praws [medium size]
1 Tablespoon grounded chillies
1 pcs onion
7 pcs shallots
3 pcs garlic
100ml coconut milk
1 pcs lemongrass
2 pcs daun salam [bay leaf]
salt to taste

Method:

* Blend the grounded chillies together with onion, shallots, garlic and lemongrass.
*Cut the tofu into cubes
* Heat up some oil in a wok, saute the blended ingredients until fragrant.
*Then, add in daun salam [bay leaf], petai [stink beans], prawn and tofu.
Mix well.
*Add in coconut milk and some water so that it's not too dry. Let it boil.
* season with salt.

~TADA! Ready to be served with white rice. ENJOY!~

WHY ARE PEOPLE AFRAID OF SOMETHING NEW?

Bismillahirahmanirahim

:::In the name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful:::

~PATIENCE IS VITAL~

I am curious. Really curious. I don't know whether it is me who is too ambitious and that I believe in myself that I can be great at anything I do as long as I do my best; or is it the people around me who are so negative?

Why are people afraid of doing something new? Can anyone tell me?

I have a goal and I am not going to let all my efforts go down the drain simply because I have so many people telling me that I will surely not make it. Who are they to say that?

I have sucessfully achieved my goal by being a lawyer. I had to work since 16 years old, earn my own income, read Law with my own savings without asking for anyones's help. I wrote my own cheque to The University of London and pulled my way up, climbed the ladder of success all by myself when so many people told me that I will not make it, and YET I MADE IT! So, why now, when I am chasing another dream of mine to make it real, there are others saying the same thing?

How often do I need to hear the same thing repeated all over again? And how long must I stay like this, surrounded by negative vibes?

Don't they have any desire in their lives? Don't they have dreams like me? Don't they have dreams to accomplish success in life? I am seriously curious.

But Razi is helping me with the translations now. I hope it'll be great, InsyaALLAH.
